Striking a conversation

Two strangers are sitting in an adjacent seats in airplane.

One guy says to the other, "Let's talk. I hear that the flight will go faster if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger."

The other guy, who had just opened a good book, closes it slowly, takes off his glasses and asks, "What would you like to discuss?"

The first guy says, "Oh, I don't know; how about nuclear power?"

The other guy says, "OK, that could make for some pretty interesting conversation. But let me ask you a question first:

"A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff, but the deer excretes pellets, the cow, big patties, and the horse, clumps of dried grass. Why is that?"

The first guy says, "I don't know."

The other guy says, "Oh? Well then, do you really think you're qualified to discuss Nuclear Power when you don't know shit?"

Indians terrorised by dogs, threatened by US agents

Here's what happened to Akhil Sachdeva

1. Chained to a bench at FBI's office in Manhattan.
2. Demanded to tell his religious and political beliefs as well as if he had taken flying lessons.
3. When he told them of his plans to settle in Canada, they shackled his legs to a steel bench and interrogated him for four to five hours. Never offering to call a lawyer.
4. Was jailed for three and a half months for no apparent reason.

My take: This is seriously and utterly mad. Another fine example of the bully the US is. Just because of one incident that occured, look at everyone dark-skinned with suspicion? Isn't that a bit mental? So, next ...if an American executes an attack..i'm guessing it will be all right for other countries to ill-treat Americans?? Oh..of course, in that case..the US will attack! Oh the fairness of it all relieves me of any trust in democracy and humanity itself.

Little sisters...

As i watched the riots in Nepal on the news last night with my sister...i expected her to comment on it by saying that they're so violent, evil or something like that. Instead, she looks at the objects set on fire and says..."why do they have to cause air pollution". For the love of God!!!

Miss Singapore 2006 - what were you thinking?

I feel compelled to pen this entry down, just having watched Miss Singapore 2006. The selection of all the three finalist, especially the winner, shocked my very belief in the entire system. Articulate contestants, like Jade Seah, Nisha and Ssunita should have been in the final three. The second-runner up totally gave me the goosebumps because she hardly showed any intellect. Please...what were the judges and the public thinking. This is the exact reason why Singapore never even makes it into the finals of the Universal pageant. You need someone smart, confident, articulate and passionate. Something i find people who don't get chosen always have more than the one who's being crowned. Beauty may be relative...but all the current and previous winners don't seem to have any form of it.

Kim Mathers give her side of the story

It's amazing how celebrities...especially those in Hollywood find marriage no different from dating. One moment i'm with you..the next, i just can't bear to live with you. Repeat this process a few times over ...and you have..four ex-wives!!! (Not referring to anyone in particular). And yet they have the guts to look down upon arranged marriages when love marriages, at least in their context, don't work.

Anyway, back to the title. You get married in December and file for a divorce in March after not talking for weeks. The wife blames it on the fact that he refused to get a counselor for his drug problem and he blames it on the fact that things were already not working from the start and marriage could not possibly solve it.

Why, the lightbulb took quite a while to switch on, didn't it? So mature are these people that i don't think they should bother getting married but just get their 'Barbies and Kens' married till then. That's what it is to them...a play.

Hit : Finally a sane person who doesn't think she's going to die if she's not with someone, like being single is some sort of terminal illness.

Time for another revolution

The Indian market has recently been touted as a virgin market. But i'm not as worried about that as much as another larger problem in our hands. The chinese AKA the best copycats. Here's what the latest trend is...learn Yoga from India, come to Singapore, open up a Yoga centre and charge thousands to teach them something that is not from your culture and that you learnt from another. Of course, they're doing nothing wrong...its business after all. But hello Indians!!! Wake up!! Where are you while others are making money from your heritage??! Recently, i published an entry on how Europeans need a wake-up call...well, so do Indians...if anyone should be earning from Yoga and Ayurved, it should be us. After all...original is better than photocopied.
